Give:

  • give out: come to an end, be exhausted.eg: His patience finally gave out
  • give up: abandon an attempt to do something, surrender. eg: She gave up smoking 2 years ago.
  • give in: surrender, yield. eg: You can't win the game now so you'd better give in.
  • give something in: hand over something to somebody who is authorized to receive it. eg: Please give your examination paper in as soon as you've finished.
  • give something back: return something to its owner. eg: Give me back my pencil

 

Time:

  • take your time: use as much time as you need to do what you have to do
  • play for time: try to gain time by delaying
  • have a good time: enjoy oneself
  • for the time being: temporarily from time to time: now and then
  • at times: sometimes
  • at all times: always
  • at other times: on other occasions
  • at a time: in sequence, separadely
